The pizza is fine. It won't blow your socks off but it ain't like eating cardboard box. It was good to see something throwing dough in the back, and the service was joyful considering how slow it seemed. Normally I'd give it 3 stars but for some reason people are giving it 1 star for the most self-entitled, cry baby, dramatic reasons that I've seen on Yelp in a while. Just flipping through the reviews shows just how childish the people are that the workers deal with. All in all it was good.

Frankly, I was really surprised to read so many unhappy reviews here. I've been enjoying Goodfella's for over a decade and have never been disappointed! I should clarify: I've ONLY enjoyed take-out pizzas from this place, but they have always been excellent. It's definitely in FL what we refer to as "NY style" pizza, with a firm crust edge, but still thin, floppy, and foldable. Great cheese, sauce, and quality toppings too... The pizza is really great for the price and take-out times are usually just 15 minutes. I cannot speak for it's other menu/service virtues, but for an excellent take-out pizza in the area? Goodfella's is second ONLY to the local, legendary, ICON Italia Mia, and that says a bunch to those in the know! Being 2nd best can sometimes be quite an honor!

If you want over priced over cooked pasta with sauce that tastes like its watered down from a can youre in the right place. I ordered the fetticini Alfredo. The pasta was so overcooked it was mushy. The sauce was watered down and did not save the dish. They could not have screwed up that pasta anymore if they tried. Trying to come up with things that taste worst than this is hard. MacDonalds, taco bell, hungry howies.... any of those are more satisfying then the pasta i had at goodfellas.... most disappointing food i have ever bought.

This review is based solely upon appetizers and a few drinks. They may, for all I know, have the most amazing pizza that makes me hear sounds and jump around like a unicorn, but I doubt I'd find out. Stopped here after Taster's looking for a shot and came to find out they didn't have a full bar menu. So I settled for a Goose Island (gotta love the honker) and ordered some Jalapeno poppers and some garlic knots. The poppers were good but came out super hot and I had to wait for them to cool down. The garlic knots were meh. They weren't bad, per se, they just weren't anything to really write home about. For a Saturday night, the ambiance was also, bleh. Nothing much to keep me there after my beer was finished. As I'm in my Tampa Bay exploration phase, I doubt I'm going to waste an exploration slot going back here.

One of the only non-chain pizza places in north St Pete Gandy area where we live, and unfortunately I've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt multiple times but we've had so many bad experiences here, I just can't recommend them. The food is decent but we've had hair in our pizza or sandwich multiple times here and the last time it seemed like someone had dropped a hair ball in my meatball parm. Nearly got sick. We have had a few good meals here so can't give a completely terrible rating. But this last experience really ruined this place for us. Now we go downtown to Wood Fired Pizza downtown, which I think is very good pizza or get frozen pizza. Can't do the chain pizza!

I've only gotten take out here once so I'm going to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I also wasn't the one to pick up the pizza so I can't comment on the restaurant itself. I was hoping this place would be great as it is close by, but after having the margherita pizza, I wasn't very impressed. It seemed like they were skimpy on the toppings, especially the cheese. The crust was just ok and sauce was alright, but really nothing to write home about. I've heard good things about other local pizza joints so I plan to try those before going back here.

I've eaten Goodfellas a few times, and this last time was not a great experience. A group of 11 of us unexpectedly found ourselves at Goodfellas when our first choice was closed. The waitress was rude, and mentioned multiple times to our group that had we called ahead she could have provided more adequate seating, when all she did, and all she could have done was pull together a few tables for us to sit. The waitress was also rude to the person ordering for us, we simply ordered three large pizzas, and an order of cheese bread and cheese sticks. We didn't all have separate orders, and everything was billed on one check. The waitress made a rude comment about how there was a difference between the cheese bread, and the cheese sticks. The food was decent, as it always is, but if you're forced to eat Goodfellas, get your food to go, and leave the rude staff to themselves. I wasn't the one who paid the bill for our group, and I'm not sure what tip, if any was left, but our waitress certainly didn't deserve anything above 5%.

Pretty decent pizza for the price :) I would come back for take out. It was really stinky inside though, I don't know If I could handle sitting there eating pizza with a dirty rag smell / bleach wafting throughout the restaurant. Take away that smell and I would definitely dine in. Gave them two chances to see if there was improvement but both times I came in to pick up my pizza there was a fowl odor in the air.

Wow, lots of bad reviews for Goodfellas; I'm shocked. I've been grubbing down at this joint since 2003ish, and have never had a bad experience or pizza. As for NY style pizza in the North St. Pete area, this is the place to be. Grande cheese, quality toppings and they don't cook the pizza on a damn screen--you really can't go wrong. Until recently, it had actually been 4 years since I've eaten at GF because I no longer work around the corner. But the other day, my pops was in town and he was visiting an old Air Force buddy who lives in close proximitey to GF. We all wanted some pizza, and they were about to call Westshore until I suggested a GF 18" cheese. The pizza arrived quickly and was fantastic, just as I had remembered. They have now ordered pizza from there 3 days in a damn row. True stroy. I don't know if I could eat there 3 days in a row, but they said they would never order pizza anywhere else from now on, and they thanked me for the recommendation. Keep cranking out good pizza!

This review is for the WINGS only, haven't had pizza there. The wings are outstanding. First of all the quality of the chicken meat s is awesome. So many places use those oversized loose meat wings from Franken chickens you know where the chicken already has broken bones and discoloration. Disgusting. Anybody who knows real deal chicken wings it's all about the sauce, and all I can say is awesome flavors. So good. I've had lots of wings from lots of different places like north and south carolina, and the sauce was outstanding. I ordered medium and it had a good tangy and slight kick to it. Finally the amount they were cooked was perfect too, juicy but definitely done and slightly crispy. Love it like that, definitely don't like messing with undercooked chicken. Only been there once.

So Nabeeha, or whatever, thinks I expect 5 star service from a pizza place? Wonder where in my review it stated that? What I expect is a pizza with a decent crust, tasty sauce and good toppings. This place has none of those! Rather seedy crowd it attracts too as can be seen as you drive by, which is why we'd only tru delivery. This place has soggy crust , tasteless sauce, HUGE, and I mean 2" pieces of undercooked peppers and onions on the pizza with miscroscopic meats, just run away from here. I imagine they're only still open because of the ghetto complex its located next too and that the people with no taste that live there, eat here, the rest of us will still avoid it!!!!

I've been here a few times simply because it is so close to my house and all I can say is---disappointing. I got the Cecilian pizza delivered and it came half burned on one side so we could only eat part of it after paying $20 for it because the delivery guy didn't give me any change when I asked for it... He just pretended not to hear me and kept walking. Then today I decided to give them another chance and called to place an order because I received an online coupon--I'm all for second chances--The lethargic woman who answered they said they wouldn't honor it because it was an online coupon and her manager hadn't mentioned it to her. Really? So ridiculous. Needless to say, we aren't ordering from them again.

This review is based on one experience, but I probably won't go back for pizza... We ordered a Large Cheese Pizza to go on a Saturday afternoon. They definitely had the look of a typical NY Pizza. The sauce and cheese was done nicely, and the flavor of those elements was pretty decent. The biggest problem was the crust. It was very undercooked. Not to the point of being soggy, but it was pretty gooey. This pretty much made it unenjoyable. Probably won't try them again for Pizza, might try for subs or wings at some point.

it was my friend's birthday, and i'm not from st. petersburg. i was just following the crowd. apparently we were going to go somewhere else, but a massive tropical storm was keeping us close to the apartment. birthday boy decided pizza would be a good option, so we went to goodfella's. we ordered pitchers, and that was the best part of the ordeal. they have the ice core. the ice core makes everything better. i ordered a calzone with broccoli and artichoke. the calzone was huge and dry -- which was the worst part -- and the fillings were prepackaged. the artichoke was few and far between, and i received about an ounce of sauce for the entire calzone. i liked the mix of cheese, but it solidified after about ten minutes and became pretty undesirable. the warmth of the cheese is what made the dryness bearable; once that went away, i got a box and made plans on how to dress it up at home. we ended up there because our first choice wasn't possible, and that sums up goodfella's properly.

This is the kind of restaurant that doesn't necessarily have unforgivable major issues, but at the same time has no strong points. The pizza is overall passable but they really should work on the fundamentals like sauce and crust. The Calzone suffers from a strange uneven distribution of fillings, but its filling for sure. An assortment of apps will probably be your favorite, the stuffed olives and bruschetta are both pretty good. I would stay away from the cheesecake, which has a nice strong taste of refrigerator. The service was attentive and helpful so I can't really be critical of that. The prices are reasonable and like most semi-sports bar places they have several specials for football games on Sundays. Just don't come here expecting any kind of authentic Italian experience, the place is vary Americanized and a little sports bar-ish.

I've had nothing but good experiences here. Came back over the weekend. Ordered a large pepperoni and some naked wings- half sweet chili glaze and half honey barbecue. Still love the wings, they are delicious! I wanted to order some to go so I could eat them at home later lol. Pizza is consistently yummy. Lots of gooey, cheesy goodness and the dough is good. We received awesome service again. The restaurant is a decent size. There's a bar area to the right of the entrance with some tv's. No super large flat screens though so not sure if viewing of sports events would be good here? Decor is along the lines of their name. Lots of pictures of mafia types from the movies and a nice mural by the bar of some gangsters. I don't know my gangster movies so sorry, couldn't tell you who they were. Restaurant is clean, but was really dark when we were there. Not sure why unless it's always dark like that during the day?

The dough appears to be hand made and is pretty good which leaves me questioning why you guys used canned and frozen toppings. I ordered a veggie pizza with a couple of extra toppings and I could tell every single topping was canned or frozen. That's pretty crappy. If you are going to go through the trouble to produce an authentic crust, do yourselves a favor and use fresh ingredients for your toppings. There are way too many pizza places in the area competing for business. Do something to stand out!

Ate lunch today and wish I hadn't! Ordered the Carved chicken sandwich ~they brought me the Italian by mistake and then brought me a chicken wrap. I've had better quality food at Wendys! The lettuce was old, frayed with black edges! The tomato was mushy and I asked the waitress if they used 'carved turkey' as stated on the menu, she said yes. It was deli turkey! Save your time and money~go somewhere else! The place was empty at lunchtime, that should have been a sign not to eat here!

They have really good pizza in the north 4th Street area. "Goodfella's" pizza is no where near the best that I have ever had but for a pizzeria within a 5 mile radius, it is the best you'll find. The other fare on the menu is your basic American/Italian type foods such as lasagna, ziti, chicken parm, etc... Its decent at best but you should come here for the pizza and pizza alone. In fact, try the margherita pizza! Its really good. The service at the bar and restaurant itself is spotty. Every time Ive sat at the bar to eat & drink, I was always served by an uninterested and rushed bartender who could give two craps if I was there or not. Sit down itself is hit or miss. Sometimes I get a good waitperson and sometimes I don't. Now if you live nearby, they do deliver and this is the route I usually take because then I don't have to deal with the so called "service" at this restaurant. Overall, good pizza, spotty service and enough TV's to catch a game...

Great pizzas for the location (St. Pete), prices are right, good quality ingredients and unpretentious atmosphere. Being from Chicago, I'm VERY picky about my pizza. That being said, I really like Goodfella's. I've been to this pizzeria many times, and I've eating too many things here but I still come back for the crispy, thin crust pizza margaritas and my other favorites. Ignorant people have commented that there is not a lot of toppings, but I'm sure most of those individuals haven't had a real Italian-style pizza. They must be used to domino's or papa john's (blah!). Homemade mozzarella with fresh basil and a delicious red sauce, that's it. That's called a pizza Margarita and this place does it best in St. Pete. Stop moaning about the pre-cooked ingredients, those caramelized onions are so delicious! Try the bruschetta, it's just like Nonna made it! The caprese is rich, simple and excellent. I really love the vegetarian anti pasta salad with roasted veggies but if I don't want the salad I'll just order the roasted veggies and eat it with the pizza. As for the calzones, they are very stuffed with all kinds of ingredients with little or no tomato sauce but that seems to be how they do it in Tampa Bay, not just Goodfellas. Sometimes I feel that the pizza could have used another minute or so in the oven but usually I'm really satisfied with it. The servers could have a better attitude and no one greets you at the door, there rarely is anyone out there to tell you where to sit or wait. There is that awkward moment when you first get there until you remember to just find a seat.

Good Fellows on 4th at used to have the best pizza when they put their mind to it and I used to order once a week but this place went downhill lately. They seem to hire only people with down syndrome to answer the phone and delivery and the pizza is never consistent. The pizza tasted like dryed out stiff cardboard leftover from the day before. I stopped eating at Westshore cause they used to Pre cook their pizzas and then let them sit all day on a bakers rack and when you ordered they would just throw on the toppings and re hear pizza up for 3 minutes. This is what It tastes like good fellows is doing now. The pizza taste like it is 3 days old and was re heated almost till the cheese is well done papper. The worst is I called for Bonnie the owner and left message with the staff that I order a lot and paid good money for pizza and never got a call back for credit. It is a shame cause they lost a good customer now. My suggestion is to check your pizza prior to paying for it and if it looks dryed out like a piece of stiff cardboard, don't pay and schove it back up their ass. You will notice that the employees are similar to the retards that used to work at Kmart. They have communication problems and can not count either. Yuck Yuck! Wasted $27.00 for a large pizza with 2 toppings and a Lasgasne.

My boyfriend and I go here frequently, maybe once or twice a week. The first time we ate here our bartender was lovely, very accommodating, engaging in conversation - even suggested my boyfriend get the Goodfella's iPhone offer which saved us 10% off our total bill that day. We both ordered entrees, I got manicotti and he got chicken parm, both of which come with salad and bread. She brought out our salads first without asking what kind of dressing we had wanted but I'm glad that happened, because 1 - it's served in a container, not drenching the salad, so if I really wanted to I could have exchanged it even after it had been served to me which I really like and 2 - I typically choose ranch or something similar because when I'm out to eat I'm not worried about calories, I like it to taste good; well their house dressing (oil and balsamic) is fantastic! The bread was the best I've had in quite some time, and I'm a huge bread fan. We ate the leftovers again for lunch the next day and it was just as good the second time around! We visited again last night and it was good, just not as good as the first time which was somewhat disheartening. Again, we ordered entrees, I got chicken picata and he ordered the meat lasagna. This time, we had a different bartender and she did get busy right when we were served out food, so I completely understand that she was doing her best - although I did note that the group of three sitting at the bar near us told her they were ready to order, she said she'd be right back and greeted two tables and got their drinks before taking the three top at the bar's order, just my two cents - she should have taken their order after filling the drink orders for the other new tables but that's just ten years of being a server talking on my part. Anyway, when she served the salads I asked for bread - it wasn't nearly as good as the first time which sucked because that was my favorite part from the first meal - kinda sad I know but it was FANTASTIC the first time. Dense, chewy, gorgeous. We mentioned that we had a bogo half off at the beginning when we ordered and she forgot to apply it initially when she handed us our bill although was happy to fix the simple mistake and gave a sincere smile when we left. I love this place, it's cozy and close to home. =)

This place is great if you're in the mood for excellent pizza or gigantic sandwiches. The sandwiches are big enough to take half home for a meal later. Not fancy by anymeans, just a solid pizzeria good for a casual dinner or for takeout.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

If you want slightly below average pizza this is the place.

Not really a review but a comment I hope someone at the shop reads..,7pm Saturday night and for the last 20 minutes NOBODY is picking up the phone. BAD BUSINESS!!! We order frequently...such a shame!

If I could give zero stars, then I would. I'd rather eat any chain pizza than eat here, and I hate chains. It's within walking distance from my work & it's not even an option.

Order pizza for delivery. Pizza was way under cooked. Still doughie. Pizza was also delivered 30 minutes late and was cold. Disappointed.

The pizza dough was very dry and crumbly rather than soft and crispy. The garlic cheese focaccia bread was bland. Over priced for the quality.

Love this place! My wife and I recently moved to the area from Chicago and this is the best pizza we've had so far. Reheat your leftover slices in the oven and it's almost better the second time around!
